The following all relates to my 48mm WP forks.. In a standard KTM setup the midvalve doesn't seem to do much in the way of damping therfore relies. Should you set the float, then leave it and work out a shim stack?

Here is info/chart on the 2005 FC550 stock WP Shim Stack for the Fork and Shock.. Husaberg and KTM recommend using the Straight Rate .
It is very likely the shock has a single stage shim stack on both sides of. .. For the 2015 models, KTM USA provides WP with the suspension .
Many shim stacks were tested, and there is a lot of room for testing, especially since the WP shock has two internal pistons, both with compression and rebound
